Obituary:

 

Mr. Curtis Bobinger, Jr., 65, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Hospice Ministries in at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland,MS.

 

Curtis was born in Kiln, MS on December 17, 1947, to Curtis Bobinger, Sr. and Allie Mae Fultz Bobinger. He was a graduate of Cleveland High School where he excelled as a member of the Wildcat Baseball and Track team. Curtis retired in 2000 after 32 years of service with At&t where he served as President of his local CWA union. After he retired he returned to Cleveland in 2003 where he was an active member of Morrison Chapel Baptist Church also serving as a Deacon to the church.

 

Curtis loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing with his closet friends. He also served on the MS State Penitentiary Prison Ministries and Mid- Delta Disaster Relief Team respectively.

 

Curtis is preceded in death by his parents.

 

He is survived by daughter, Katherine “Katie” Bobinger Ishee (Gabe) of Ridgeland; grandchildren, Ryan Ishee, Allie Ishee and Parker Ishee all of Ridgeland.

 

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Alford, Danny Cooper, Robert May, Randy Morgan, Winston Parish, Griffin Steed, Charles Turner, and Alton Vance. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryan Ishee, Parker Ishee, Elvin Bobinger, Lonnie Bobinger, Leroy Cross, Jim Hunter McCaleb, Lawrence Steed and the Deacons of Morrison Chapel Baptist Church.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Morrison Chapel Building Fund 196 Morrison Chapel Rd 38732.

 

Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Ray Funeral Home, a second visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at Morrison Chapel Church with the Celebration of Life immediately following with Bro Brother John Arthur Thomas and Bro. Rodney Jones officiating. Interment will be in Delta Heights Memorial Garden.
